Configuration Steps

  • Setup
    Set up and install the FSL-managed package. Assign users the required FSL Permission Sets.
  • Core FSL Configuration
    Configure the Service Territories and associate Technicians and Dispatchers. Assign regular operating hours to each Service Territory to indicate the work performance. Set up the Service Resources, Skills, and Skill levels. Establish Work Types corresponding to the client’s services. Configure Service Crews for Service Resources.
  • Dispatcher Console Configuration
    Use Fieldsets to control fields displayed on the Lightning Dispatcher Console. Dispatch Appointments to Technicians based on availability.
  • Lightning Knowledge setup with Articles (Internal users)
    Configuring Lightning Knowledge settings. Set up Article Record Types with the required parameters. Categorize the Articles (with Topics/Data Categories).
  • Field Service Inventory
    Establish Field Service Inventory. Track Required Inventory in Field Service. Manage Inventory Requests, Transfers, Consumption, Shipments and Customer Returns.
  • Field Service Scheduling and Optimization
    Set up Service Appointments based on work orders. (You can opt for manual scheduling or use optimization tools to automate the scheduling process.) Define the Service Appointment Lifecycle, and configure Appointment Booking settings. Configure the Scheduling Policies, Service Objectives, and Work Rules.
  • Reports for Field Service
    Create report types to track field service activity in your org. Enhance reporting capabilities with the Field Service Analytics App.
  • FSL Mobile Application
    Customize the Salesforce mobile app to display relevant information like work order details, Schedules, Maps, Customer Data, and Job-Specific Instructions.
